Redeye Hothouse 2019 at Leeds Art Gallery - Saturday 2nd February
I was invited by a friend (who is also a photography student in Manchester) to come along to Redeye's hothouse event in Leeds during the first weekend of February. The event is designed for new and unseen photographic talent in which a day of quick-fire presentations from photographers are able to unfold the inspiration and substance behind a project of their choosing.
" Redeye, the Photography Network, is a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society set up to support photographers at every level, and build networks across photography". (Redeye)
The event was a good opportunity for myself to go and see what other photographers are doing/creating and with potential to get inspired? It was interesting to see the different styles of work each person presented. I went with an open mind however with my work being involved in more documentary/journalism photography, I was more so drawn to the creators who presented this type of imagery. It was also great to see a member of my University class present their work!
