Tuesday 14th & Wednesday 15th May - Prepping for my Final Exhibition
This week was the week of our final exhibition and on Tuesday morning my uni group and I began setting up at Yorkshire House on Greek Street (the space in which our exhibition was held). The work we were presenting was images shot from our FMP brief and felt a lot of pressure to ensure our work on display looked the absolute best it could - before the opening night on Thursday 16th.
Arriving at the space at 12pm gave us the opportunity to create a floor plan of where each person would have their work hung up. Unfortunately Yorkshire House doesn't allow for artists to mount their work on the walls so we have to compromise by using fishing wire to hang our prints from the ceiling. After being at the space for many hours moving and changing the layout of everybody's work, we left our prints in the spaces chosen.
I could not attend the next day (15th) in continuing to help bring the exhibition together (due to job commitments) however my tutors very kindly mounted my images. I created 7 A2 prints and ordered them shown in the images below. My tutors supported my prints using double sided tape and wooden beams to create a frame in order to hang them from the ceiling using fishing wire. See images.
