"How Humans Interact with the Landscape in Respect to Leisure (2010s). A detailed look at leisure time within Yorkshire."
Friday was hand in day for our Research Project (dissertation). With my final word count being 6322 I uploaded my finished draft to Turnitin mid afternoon; after reading over it a couple of times to make sure there was no spelling and or grammar mistakes and that it read well.
This piece of writing although interesting to research and write about, was quite hard and extremely challenging. It was interesting in the sense that it has allowed me to be more open minded and creative in furthering my personal research into Britishness and how humans adapt the landscape to suit their needs in ensuring leisure time. However, I found it to be challenging because I often doubt myself when it comes to academic writing and worry with every sentence I write. As much as I thought (initially) the topic to be quite broad and would easily find information, when it came down to doing the research I struggled a fair amount with finding the exact material I wanted. I am also a perfectionist, so every detail has to be 110% otherwise I'm not happy.
I'm relived to of finally finished with the Research Project and still am, however I am now doubting how well I have done. Which will probably continue until I find out how the piece of writing has been graded. This feeling occurs with every assignment, practical and written, that I submit until I receive the mark, I tell myself that there is more I could of done to make it an even stronger body of work.
It's just a waiting game now.
